I had thought about that. I think we need to... phrase it so that
backing-up is advised, but is probably unnecessary. And a statemenet
that ACM/siglinux/volunteers take NO responsibility for any fscked data.
We can also mention that we have limited backup facilities for those
with ethernet cards.
Are there any legal considerations? If one of us screws up someone's
data, is ACM/siglinux in trouble? What if we mess up something physical?
None of the volunteers should open up any boxen to try to fix anything
without the understanding that if the volunteer messes up,...?
On second thought, I totally agree with you about JumpStart.
Reinstalling Linux several times at first is definitely a required
learning experience. Yes, the installation should be done very slowly
for learning purposes.
