IC does fly (and serve cheap booze on) international sectors.
And both AI and IC aren't known for stinting on the booze. Plus are "the
cheapest" so attract a significant number of first time flyers, often
people from the wrong side of the tracks, and/or who can't resist the
temptation of unlimited free drinks, maybe think "I paid so many thousand
rupees for the flight, let me get value for money by getting as many free
drinks as I can" (oh, and as for the toffees that get served on takeoff,
they'll dip a hand in and scoop up about a dozen for the kids back home -
symptoms of the same disease)
