To Everyone that responded a big thanks! Wayne, thanks for your helpful advice and for the offer of the file. I'd like to take you up on the offer, but my computer is near death, do I am going to buy a new one within the next few days or so. I'll try and get it from you on the new computer.
With the support of folks from the group, I managed great headway with my doctor. I just called and asked that a copy of my bloodwork be mailed to me. The secretary then put me on hold for about 5 minutes and came back and asked me if it wouldn't be okay to talk to my doctor so she could explain it to me first. And, I said no that it would not be okay with me to wait over a month for my blood results. I told her I was entitled to my records by law and I wanted them. I also informed her that I was sick and that is why I went to the doctor in the first place, not because I was going to be sick a month from now. After that conversation they called me back within 20 minutes and I had the script that they hadn't wanted to be bothered with earlier. To make a long story short. She asked me to come in the first thing the next morning. I told her I wasn't sure if I ever wanted to see her again, but I agreed to come in. When I got there no one had to ask me what I was there for. She explained the bloodwork. Then I asked her what alternatives I had for the Synthroid and she offered me the Armour, so of course I switched and started on that this morning. I had complained and complained to her about the Synthroid before and she never offered the Armour. I must say, I was really surprised and pleased by their sudden attitude change and how quickly they could respond to my simple little requests when they wanted to. It was really quite amazing. They even had a copy of the bloodwork ready for me. If I hadn't called back and demanded my bloodwork, I would be still stewing and I wouldn't have had my needs met either. Wow! Vast improvement in the care department. She is refusing to let me know the results of a blood test for my Thyroid until a month from now when I have an appointment with her. You do not need to contribute to my love for doctors like that. < Grin> If I was there,............ I would get them for you, if you wanted me to do it. >>the authorization. What a racket. As far as I know, I am not even certain that she has looked at my bloodwork yet (8 days later). Awesome ......... I would get an attorney to call her. One I had a problem with an engineering firm. I went to talk to the lawyer. It was as if he was reading my mind. He picked up the phone. He did not have to do anything expect state his name and the law firm name, and tell them he was representing me. The engineer said, ..... There is no problem with those submittals, they were mailed out "Approved" yesterday. I think he lied, but they were mailed out , Approved that day. Many people do not want to tangle with attorneys, especially one like the best law firm in Memphis, TN. Other methods work as well. My Bounty Hunter friend taught me most of his tricks. My body temp is 97.5 this morning. I slept 5 hours last night and my hands shake. The wonders of modern medicine for those of us that have insurance. What a blessing, I just posted a nice file posted by Dr. Saul Pressman to the file area on the MDI list. You need that file. Badly.......... I tried to put in the Silver List collection last night but could not upload it at that time. I will send it to you, if you want. It is about 37 K Word DOC and is a classic and masterpiece. Lots about the Thyroid. Wayne ============================== ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ No virus found in this incoming message.
