I was going to get together with a VERY pretty bipolar woman several
years ago.
She said she would just stay in bed depressed now and then, for days and
days. [Can you put up with that?]
I said, well, I won't be there with you. [I don't have to put up with
that..YOU do ]
Whenever you get tired of that and hungry enough, get up and find me.
We'll do lunch.
If you want to whine and complain, you are the best audience you'll ever
have...go for it.
You don't need me for that and I won't be there *for* listening.
Though, if I'm there doing something else and you are talking, I won't
shut you up...I'll "listen in" as you tell yourself what's wrong with you.
Depression is just you chasing your own tail and succeeding in catching it.
Manic is a bite that missed and you passed your own ass, leaving your
tail behind you. [Run faster, you'll catch it ]
I told her I'd make her laugh at herself so hard she'd wish she was dead.
The "truth" is FUNNY.. any good comedian uses that fact. [Heyoka, the

She got cold feet and split...she already wished she was dead, I guess.

But then I thought it might be instructive to see what others had to say
first. Personally, I'd still stick with "RUN!", but no-one ever heeds *that*
