I will post to the list, either success or failure. The ligament issue is a long-standing one (at least a year old) -- so I imagine it might take some time to heal, if it's going to.
I did find a 100-watt Ceramic Infrared Heat Emitter bulb on Ebay for twenty dollars with free shipping. So it's ordered, and on its way. Now I have to find one of those hooded holders for it.
