Hi Anthony,

Today I finally received the two packages I was waiting for from eBay. I
have the borosilicate beakers and alligator leads, and now I can start to
document the assembly instructions and take lots of pictures.

I have thought about the design a lot, and tried to find ways to simplify
it so single mom could either build it or get someone in the neighbourhood
to build it for her.

There are only three solder joints, so pretty much any teenager with a
soldering iron will have no problems. The entire process can run without
any instruments at all. No Hanna or COM-100 is needed to achieve truly
remarkable performance.

The process is self-monitoring in that it provides a clear indication of
the progress, so you can easily tell where you are in the brewing process
and
when the single 9 volt battery is starting to get weak.

I estimate a fresh battery should last for about 110 brews or 400 mL each,
and a typical dose is only 50mL. So each brew should last for about a week
for a single person. This means about 110 weeks, or over two years for the
battery life.

The process is very tolerant of inattention, so it does not run wild like a
3 nines if you re too busy to check on it all the time. About the only
thing that will happen is it will make a stronger brew, and perhaps drop a
small amount of silver on the bottom of the jar. This is easily cleaned by
wiping, or with a bit of food grade H2O2.

I added a new way to test the ion concentration of the resulting brew, so
it will be easy for beginners to tell if they have been successful. This
does not require a Hanna or COM-100, which can easily be fooled by
contamination. The test is dramatic and unambiguous. You can easily tell
you have made silver, and lots of it.

I anticipate the normal problems at the beginning, but I really have to say
this is the most tolerant cs generator I have ever designed. I'm sure any
problems will be quickly and easily resolved.

And I hope to see you on the SilverCentral forum with good news of your
very own MiniCell!!

Thanks for the post and the kind words. I will have some very important
news very soon.

Best Wishes,
