Hi Renee,

Thanks for the comments. What on earth are you doing with coax? That is
very unusual to hear.

Yes, I agree, there are many problems with a housewife trying to solder
connections. Even a solder pen requires the proper flux and skill from
experience that not many housewives will have the time or desire to learn.

It is for these reasons that I will list many alternative ways of getting
the connections properly soldered by an experienced person. 

For example, a local high school or university may have plenty of people
who are willing to do it for nothing. A local ham will be pleased to help.
Any electronic engineer will be very happy to do it, and many plumbers may
be willing. The only problemis they must use rosin flux instead of acid
flux, and a small iron instead of a propane torch.

There will be many experiences and interesting tales to tell from this
simple problem:)

I hope you will join in the experiment to make your own Silvercell
generator!
