Del; I have used reverse osmosis water with LVDC and it make CS but the T.E. is always very bright indicating large particles.
The RO water here cost only $0.25 per gallon at a self fill Kiosk. I will try it with my 12 kv unit and let you know the results. Is it correct that the low current at start-up is with LVDC. If it is then the purity is very good. With the best distilled water on my 12 kv unit the initial current is always 25 to 27 ma.
