Thanks so much, Deborah, for broaching the subject! I was about ready to post the same hypothesis, but hated to do it as a guy! Almost all (or ALL) of the posts are by women (females, girls) and there has to be a link here. Male anatomy is such that almost all wipe from front to rear and no particular attention is paid to wiping the urethra outlet. Female anatomy facilitates the opposite, with subsequent contamination of the vaginal and urethral areas, particularly if no attempt is made to make separate cleansings with separate toilet tissue. This issue is probably more important than the old admonition that boys should not mess around with girls (found in innumerable books that parents gave to their children to explain the "birds and the bees") because this was an avenue of contamination and infection into the internal (abdominal) system and could cause permanent illness and damage to the person.
