Hi James. No. In fact we told all customers to never use them unless they wanted to drink the water rather than use it for making CS. I think the problem was that the units boiled the water so vigorously that the steam entrained some of the minerals and carried them over the helm. Some units were OK but some were not. I think the problem was probably one of production tolerances such as the closeness of the heating element to the bottom of the still pot and/or the exact conformation of the heating element inside the calrod making for hot spots. I finally said enough when too many were returned.
Of those returned we would sometimes see conductivity readings as high as 5 uS. That's unacceptable.
