A fascinating medical doctor, Y. Omura, claims that different manufacturer's versions of identical antibiotics produce dramatically different results in his kinesiological tests. I believe him. This puts the lie to the whole concept of standard doses; the same drug from different makers is not the same.

Preventive medicine is not the same as treating a diseased body. Trying
to apply exact dosages, even with antibiotics, is ONLY an approximation.
As I pharmacologist, one who researches dosages and mechanism of drug
action, I know that what is presented to the public is hype. There is no
certainty that an exact dose is being used. We have no way of knowing
this so generally we are overdosing some and under dosing others, when
using the established dosages for pharmaceuticals. I hope I am correct
in assuming that your questions arises from this practice in allopathic
medicine.
