Well, both my gens sit on kitchen counters, my silverpuppy is right next to the stove where hubby fries his morning eggs daily.
I keep my gen sitting in a dry jar between uses, is that what you mean?
I have no idea how many drops to a teaspoon, so don't know the equivalent to what you are adding. I only had one batch very early on in my CS-making that never did go clear. Sometimes though, if the 1/4 tsp to 20 oz doesn't go clear overnight, I will add a little more, probably less than 1/8 tsp additional H202. Your brew jar--what was it before being pressed into service as a CS brewing jar? I use mayonnaise jars, run through the dishwasher, then rinsed in very hot tap water, then again with distilled water (do the lids the same way). If I make yellow CS and they get the yellow coating, I just leave it, doesn't seem to hurt anything, I just rinse with DW before the next batch. I've made lots of water clear CS in yellowed jars. I use white paper napkins to wipe the electrodes, and wipe them just before starting a batch, so as to wipe off anything that could possibly have settled on them since the last run.
What brand DW are you using? Have you tried others?

sol,

It immediately turns a pale yellow and then very shortly (within 15 min)
turns a soft pale milky-silvery clear and stays that way. Wondering if I am
adding too much H202 (1 drop per oz) and I should probably just drop the
H202 (being an over-achiever).

ALso contamination as Mike mentioned, is a possibility.

Although I do not touch the electrodes with my fingers or the inside of the
jar and try to keep things sterile, I DO place the gen on the kitchen
counter while it makes CS, a lot of activity is going on there so maybe I'd
better move the operation? I just figure with the generator fitting
perfectly in the jar mouth..........things would be ok.

I also keep it on the jar mouth when not in use. The jar is solely used for
making CS and only distilled water goes into it.

Also yes I was messing up terminology big time last night. I should have
said electrodes and I should have said thermal stirrer instead of magnetic.
OK, I am a blonde ;-)
