OTP, an ayurvedic cure for many ailments
NT Bureau
Chennai, Jan 11:

'OPT can either cure or kept under control the problems including
dental related problems, headache, diabetes, blood-pressure, heart problems,
arthritis, bronchitis and tumours', claims T K Rao of Bangalore addressing a
press conference, here, recently.

Now an active propagator or 'Oil Pulling Therapy (OPT), T K Rao
suffered from asthma, sleeplessness, palpitation sneezing and allergies in the
early 1990's, but is now cured from all the above mentioned diseases after
practicing OPT.

Rao said that OPT is an ayurveda therapy followed for a very long time.

OTP follows a very simple procedure, one should take one tablespoon
(about 10 ml) of refined sunflower/gingelly/groundnut oil in the mouth and
circulate the oil inside the mouth slowly, without the oil going into the
throat, for about 15 to 20 minutes while sitting in a relaxed manner, without
any physical activity.

He noted that best time to practise OPT is in the morning on an empty
stomach.
