I don't dispute the viability and affordability of SIMS -- it's an
excellent solution that I've been using successfully and happily for a long
time on a 6150/66 that would otherwise have become a boat anchor years ago.
I was only chafing a bit at the suggestion that no SIMS user would ever
want, or be able, to run an open source *nix mail solution under OS X (of
which sendmail is only one). I'm just saying, as good as it is, SIMS isn't
the only good solution. If you can get past the irrational CLI/text config
heebie jeebies that some long-time Mac people seem to have, running some of
the excellent *nix MTAs really isn't all that much more difficult than
running SIMS.
