Not for Verizon... but I totally forgot about doing that for SIMS.

POP Auth will work fine for my email client. Although it still won't work 
for my custom written email sending apps. But I guess I can break down 
and do a minor rewrite to them to add SMTP Authentication to them 
directly (a bit of a hassle as I have a number that will need to be 
modified, but not all at once, so I can do them as I find I need them. At 
least SMTP Authentication isn't a very difficult thing to add).


I just can't believe I totally forgot about POP Auth!!! Man, I feel 
really dumb now!
