Scott, I have setup only two soft phones (X-lite) and both are behind a
firewall on a private subnet. The sipX server has an Internet address. All
of the SRV records have been created for the service, but my DNS service
does not include suupport for NAPTR records, so I don't have those.

It's pretty much the default single server configuration that comes up after
a CD install. I have enabled the conference service, but all of the other
services running are those that come up "out of the box." There are two dial
plans enabled by default (auto attendant and voice mail). And I have two
users, 777 and 999 created (one for each soft phone).

The soft phones are also configured for the most part with default values
with the exception of the account information needed to register with the
sipX server. Both are able to make and receive calls through the sipX
server. I can hear music in a conference, when only one phone is connected.
I can hear instructions from the auto-attendant when I call 101. I can call
directly into voice mail using the voice mail prefix, "8." It is only that
once I connect to voice mail, I am immediately put in the record mode
without hearing any voice mail prompt.

I am brand new to sipX, so I'm not sure exactly what I should be hearing at
that point, but I figure that this isn't quite right.

Thanks for your consideration.
