This may sound like a dumb question, but you mentioned you are new to this
application.  Is this just a DID maybe that you need to have ring at this
phone?  If it is, just put the number in as an alias on the User's
configuration screen.

My first shot at sipx, so, let me make sure I do it right.
I can't set permission on a trunk(gateway), but can create a private group
and just put that user in the group, right? other option would be
permissions on a dialplan, right?
(and put the new dialplan 'UP' higher than other), both on in and outbound?

maybe create a separate 'user' and assign that as a line? (one of the goals
would have been to be able to identify the inbound trunk)
