We have a very limited need to send and receive faxes within my
organization. For the most part, we do without fax capability but, now
that SipX will have the ability in 4.6 to receive and dispatch faxes to
users as a .pdf via e-mail, I am looking at reintroducing this
capability. I’m looking for ideas on the best way to implement fax
for two or three users sending and receiving fewer than 20 pages per
month.

How do you implement fax capabilities within your organization?

Is anyone doing this with sip trunks? If so, who do you use as your
ITSP?

SipX can receive faxes but, how do your users send faxes? I had
considered building another Hylafax server for sending faxes but, that
seems like a bit of overkill and I’ve been having a devil of a time
configuring t.38 modem for the installation.

Is anyone using FaxBack’s VoIP Plug-in for Microsoft Fax to send faxes
either through SipX or, directly to the ITSP?

Thanks in advance for the suggestions!
