Actually receiving fax in pdf format is committed in 4.4, not in 4.6 yet (have to port it) - it use FSs mod spandsp http://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Mod_spandsp that is also capable to transmit faxes (so this seems like the natural way to add this new functionality).
