Developing is a bit beyond my pay grade/capabilities but, I would be willing to contribute to a bounty to see a fax transmit capability developed using FS mod spandsp.
It seems to me that one of the big challenges with such a capability is developing the accompanying method of printing from the desktop to fax. HylaFAX already has bunch of pretty front ends developed. Rather than recreate the wheel, and considering that HylaFAX is published with an unrestricted license for the server, I wonder if the components of HylaFAX responsible for collecting and scheduling the faxes could be married with FS mod spandsp to do the dispatching and avoid the T38modem fiasco altogether? It appeared that Steve Underwood in the FS community had been working on such a solution last Fall. Does anyone know folks with the right skills that could pull this off?
