Just went back and reread your description. The information I gave you will
help in configuring the phone, but there is still some wrong behavior on
your incoming calls. The first call should come in on the top button. In
your current configuration, the second call, if working correctly will give
you a call waiting tone, and show the number on the screen, below the top
call. If you arrow down, then answer, you can answer the second call.

The Polycom phone has the ability to answer 24 calls per button actually,
and you use the arrows to scroll between them. The instructions I provided
will allow you to answer one call per button, with next calls going to the
next line.

The reject button pushing I've not seen before, and I suspect it's an issue
with the trunk again. Try the alternative setup and see if it clarifies
anything first.

Subject: [sipx-users] Incoming call behavior on Polycom

I'm working on a brand new install and am very new to sipx (and IP PBX's in
general) so please bear with me.

I'm seeing some interesting incoming call behavior, first here is my
configuration:

Sipx 4.40 (sipXecs(4.4.0- 2012-02-08EST)
Polycom IP 560 phone, bootblock: 3.0.2.0024, bootROM: 4.2.1.2075
This is a 4 line phone.

I just have a temp DID assigned to the phone for now to do some testing.
When an incoming call comes to the phone, if I don't answer on the first
ring, I see the call information duplicated on the display. Sometimes it's
just one, other times, it's once for every time the phone rings. The second,
third or forth line don't light up, it's all "on top" of the first line.

When I try to answer the phone, I can't answer, I have to click the "reject"
softkey for the second instance of the incoming call coming in and then
click the "accept" softkey to answer the call.

This behavior isn't consistent, meaning that it doesn't happen with every
call.

If I setup a hunt group and assign the DID to it and my phone to the hunt
group, I get the same behavior. If I setup the system to have the
auto-attendant answer and transfer to my extension there is no issue.

Anyone seen this type of behavior before?

Thanks,
Steve
