We have been using one successfully. I believe the issue is that his
wildcard cert was *.sunyulster.edu instead of *.sipx.sunyulster.edu, since
I think a wildcard cert only applies to subdomains, not sub-subdomains.

The good news is I have the gp_bundle cert imported so when I get the
dedicated cert. It will already have the intermediary.

The wildcard cert strikes again.

Now we have firm confirmation that they don't work in 4.4.

So I reviewed the openfire/error.log and it turns out that the IM client
does like my wildcard certificate for *.sunyulster.edu as it does not match
hostname ecs1.sipx.sunyulster.edu. I re-generated the self signed
certificate using the /usr/bin/ssl-cert tools. The find command is working
agian.

I will need to get a dedicated certificate for the host once the we migrate
to the new server.

Thanks for everyone's replies.

I stopped services.

Updated to 4.4.0- 2012-02-08EST09:10:08 and started services back up.

Still no response using the find command. Other commands such as who, call
(if providing a number) and help work. We also still get notifications if
someone is in voicemail or a conference bridge.

Address books appear fine while in the user portal.

Any recommendations on what to check next?
