Weird. Now I can't reproduce that behavior. Since I do software and hardware
testing for a living I can't really stand not being able to reproduce
scenarios I care about :-)

Subject: RE: [skychart-discussion] How do I orient a zoomed chart? Print
suggestions.
John,
I was about to answer my own email (bad netiquette) so thanks for
responding. I noticed that in polar projection north is indeed always up (at
least the last few minutes). In alt-az mode Z is definately not always up. I
tried using the 'search-locate' box but I must be missing something. To
reproduce try the following:
- select western view
- draw a box around an area of the sky that's off-center
- double click in the box
- note that Z is now not straight up, it's to the side at some angle
Not sure how to recover from that. Rotation is set to 0 degrees in the
locate dialog.
Thanks,
Sander
