I've ticked the checkbox in the advanced section as was suggested a while back...probably the same post you saw; it appears to work and hide skype on the system notification section as long as your signed in but not when you are logged out...anyhow, just thought I'd throw it out there just in case someone had a solution; it is something that I can live with but hoped there was a way to end this. I also will have to get used to using the Windows key + the numbers along the top of the keyboard to jump directly to any applications listed on the taskbar instead of Alt+Tabbing around...new in Windows 7, I guess...there's a whole lot new in 7! Thanks very much, Stephen

Some time back Sarah suggested running Skype from the System Tray but I never got around to trying that. I just ignore it and when I shut down the computer it goes away with no problems Wayne. `-----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Stephen W. I am running a 64-bit OS Windows system with Skype version 4.2... Here's my question; the Skype login screen appears on the tab list whenever I am not signed into Skype...I attempt to close out of this screen...by selecting Close under Skype menu as well as Alt+F4... It appears that Skype still remains in the tab list as when I press Alt+TAB to jump through my running apps, it is still in the tab order. I am going to take a leap here and ask or perhaps answer my own question and say would the way I would solve this issue be to not have Skype start at computer boot-up? Thanks for any input!
