I will try these suggestions. As I replied in a previous message, I believe the skype application does minimize to the notification area as long as you are signed in and the checkbox is ticked on the advanced menus; my concern, although not a real big deal, was when you weren't signed in...and the application went to the taskbar and refused to be closed...so I had two entries-one on the taskbar, and one in the system notification area. The application could be closed if you hit the applications key on the system notification area icon and chose quit...which cleared the application completely from the running applications but thought there might be another way. I just thought I'd throw this situation out as a possible problem and wanted to see if there's a solution... Thanks, Stephen
