Whoah, dude....

I think Peter could at least try getting the source for the latest
version (or even the SRPM) and compiling it on his current system,
before contemplating an entire upgrade for the sake of a single program.

Has anyone performed a Red Hat 5.x to 6.x upgrade? Is it a straight
forward process, or does everything stop working, followed by many late
nights fixing everything?
