I've gone through the RH 5.2 to 6.1 upgrade, most of it went painlessly,
although a few things broke considerably, KDE for example. Otherwise the
machine ran perfectly for everything net related (which was the only thing
I really cared about working flawlessly). Since that I just killed the
machine and did it as a straight RH 6.1, works like a dream now.
My personal recomendation would be, depending on criticality of the
server, get the source and compile it yourself, or start from scratch and
build a clean RH6.1 box. Although that's just based on my own
experiences.
I'd be interested to hear if other people had problems with a 5.2->6.1
conversion.
