No, pass, I don't use gnome.
Latex does all this, plus master documents (big plus for books), etc.
All I need to find is how to do the SLUG fests posters (have some
ideas) and how to do mail merge (have no ideas).
So if someone can tell me which package to include to make text fill a
box, I will try a Installfest poster.
