There should be something in the archives on this. I seem to remember
someone saying they were able to have their wheelmouse work either XFree
V4 or a few non-intuitive settings.

something like /etc/rc3.d/init.d/myservice stop
This stops it running now, but it will be started again when you reboot.
rm /etc/rc.d/rc[3 5].d/S99myservice and /etc/rc.d/rc[3 5].d/K99myservice
will stop them being started on reboot ([3 5] are option = not sure
correct form] . Some Snn and Kmm may differ,

Please let me know. Deb will be the odd one out if it does, but so long
as you don't want the latest and greatest, probably as Deb doesn't seem
to follow the new version disease of Redhat.
Depending on how things turn out, I'll probably do a Deb install today,
but on a seperate hard disk that can be swapped in and out.
