hi again.. ;-)
thanks terry & jeff
well i am getting closer
my middle button now works i would never have guessed.. the wheel is easy i
have done that before.. np
pine still dosent want to come home. i followed all the instructions 3 times..
not anything yet.. i get an error
vila:/# apt-get install pine
Reading Package Lists...
Building Dependency Tree...
Package pine has no available version, but exists in the database.
This typically means that the package was mentioned in a dependency and
never uploaded, has been obsoleted or is not available with the contents
of sources.list
so i went to the net.. all that is on the net is a pine src .deb and a diff.deb
and i am a little bit stuck.
i dpkg -i both the pine src deb and the pine diff deb and they both got zapped
into /usr/src/pine4
i then dpkg-source -x pine-src.dsc this created a folder pine4 and a
pine4.orig.tar.gz
the readme says to go into the folder and debian/rules build
so i do that .and at the very end i get an err
ld somthing about cannot find -lncurses ??
I am assuming it has somthing to do with the diff that i dont know what to do
with.. how do i diff it..
i just got sound working turns out that the wrong driver was started.. 3270
instead of 3271. ohwell thats life.. but i now got my mp3's back so i am now
sane again ;-).
thanks
ghoti
