NAT would allow the work station to access the internet through the 486, look up 
howto's on IPMASQUERADING

As for the setup there are a few ways you could do it, you can plug the 486 and the 
workstation into the hub as well as the on ramp.

you could put 2 NIC's in the 486 and plug the onramp directly in and then connect the 
work station via a crossover (or coax upto you) to the 486.

there just the methods I can think of (they could be wrong) I'm sure others on list 
could give more suggestions.
