Just to explain my request, it is my contention that it is impossible
to promote or comment on any distribution or indeed x member of t, where t=editors,
or languages etc. without eliciting some indignant reply from a proponent
of competing y member of t.

So, I was trying to prove my contention by getting you to rephrase Jeff's
remark in a more neutral manner.  With the fact that you have declined to do
so, I rest my case.
