I think of Docker as a development workflow tool (similar to Vagrant) - it looks to me like Joyent wants a frictionless path from the local Docker container to the ‘industrial-grade’ zone/container on their cloud/SDC (since there are apparently challenges to running LXC containers at scale/high density).
Any Joyent people on this list, please correct me if I’m misrepresenting.
