Okay, then it seemed to have been working fine.
250 Mb/s seems to be the datacenters limit on single per remote IP.
Unfortunately, that server was an evaluation unit so it was sitting alone
in the datacenter and it had no other servers near it that I could send
traffic at it with, so I was going over the Internet. 250 Mb/s was all I
could ever get when I tried it in linux as well.
Having said that, we decided that since everything was working well enough
for us (Triton did get installed and was working using Roberts platform
image), we should go forward and buy a couple of these servers.
For a variety of reasons we went with a variation of the board that I was
using last month, X10SDV-TLN4F. As I understand the primary difference is
that the 4F has a Xeon D-1540 vs the Xeon D-1520 of the 2F. The 4F also is
equipped with 2x 1Gbit i350.
Unfortunately, the X550 driver is not loading on this new board. I have
attached the prtconf -d output.
I am not sure where to go from here. The SmartOS usb image that I am using
was the one that worked on the previous board.
