Interesting, as I actually did the majority of the initial development of the 
X550 bits on this very board:

  Product: X10SDV-TLN4F

If the driver isn’t configured with any interfaces, it will automatically 
detach shortly after boot finishes. Do the ixgbe interfaces show up when you 
run: dladm show-phys
