Personally,
I keep my iphone in a kevlar treated crush proof strongbox - it  makes  
portability a slight issue but it can survive an attack from an rpg or  
other similar surface to air ordinance.
Handy for any warzone from Afghanistan to the rush hour on the London  
Underground.
