Many thanks for all suggestions about a replacement for Eudora. I had a look at Mailsmith and was very impressed. But Mailforge (formerly Pegasus) and Thunderbird seem to have improved no end since I last looked at them, and are also now quite impressive. Hmmm. I might have to try all three.
