Many thanks for all suggestions about a replacement for Eudora.

I had a look at Mailsmith and was very impressed. But Mailforge (formerly 
Pegasus) and Thunderbird seem to have improved no end since I last looked at 
them, and are also now quite impressive. Hmmm. I might have to try all three.

I must admit to using Thunderbird and I've never had a problem with it.
I trialled it against Mail when I first switched to Apple computers
three years ago, and thought it was far superior in every way. Never
tried Entourage as it looked too much like Outlook, and I was trying to
move away from 'things' Microsoft.
