The latest instalment and some good news. Thanks to a phone call from Graham Street, I dug out a FireWire cable and managed to boot up in Target Mode. The external drive was already connected to the iMac, and using Carbon Copy Cloner, I have started to clone the PowerBook hard drive.
One thing puzzles me, but that may be because I haven't used CCC before. The cloning is about 80% complete (according to the status bar) but only shows 31Gb copied and I know there was about 56 Gb on the PowerBook. I am assuming I will end up with an exact copy of my PowerBook hard drive but the copy seems a little light on data. There are two accounts on the PowerBook (my account and my wife's), and my account is the administrator's. Is there a chance that only my data is being copied?
