Is it possible to build an iPhoto library off my computer—that is, on an external disc? To keep the originals on the external disc and to put all the iPhoto stuff there, too?
At the moment I'm trying to build a library from photos that are saved on an external disc, but they seem to be being copied into my computer disc. There are lots and lots of photos, and all my internal storage is going to vanish (I'm talking about currently importing 20 Gb into a MBA which has a 128 Gb solid disc). It total I've got 100s of Gbs of photos, and storing these on an internal disc is clearly not really viable.
