I've just read somewhere on the Internet that a possible reason why my external drive won't mount on my PowerBook is that the USB ports do not produce enough power to operate a "large" drive. Can anyone confirm this? If it's the case, then I have just spent £50 to no avail and I still cannot get the data off my PB hard drive.
This is driving me to distraction. So much valuable software and data on that damned machine and I cannot get at it.
