Scott et. al.:

WiFi-Pl:us makes very creative technological claims. These claims really
thrown down the gauntlet. As part of a project, I have purchased several
WiFi-Pl:us antennas.

Am working to verify their claims of excellence. Have checked out their
patent and spoken to their inventor. [WiFi-Pl:us makes the following
statement on its website's homepage: "Dr. Jack Nilsson, the inventor of the
antenna, took a very different look at the problem." I had a search done
(and yes I know it's not too hard with open records being what they are).
It found that Jack Nilsson (699 Braddocks Landing, Medina, OH (US) 44256) is
indeed the inventor on Patent No. US 6,496,152 B2; date of Patent Dec. 17,
2002. The Patent is titled "Dual Polarized Antenna."]

..So far, so good.

But their claims are quite extraordinary, so as a professional buyer, I
don't want to say anything prematurely. All the same, I will say that I
have verified that most of the WiFi-Pl:us antennas easily work in both the
2.4 and 5 GHz bands. This fact is impressive.

Eric

Subject: [SOCALWUG] Home Wireless

Hello,

I am building a new home and would like to supply wireless to my
neighbors. But all I have is an Airport Extreme. Can anyone give me
insight on using antenna splitters and amps? I was thinking of putting
the airport in the attic, using two 8dbi omni antennas as far apart as
possible and maybe an amp on them. Would it be better to use two
Airport Extremes and bridge them?

Thanks for the suggestions?

Kelley
