ನಾಗರಾಜ್ ಸರ್ ನಾನು ಅನೇಕ ಬಾರಿ ಹೇಳಿರುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರ ಕಲಿಕಾ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳು ಆದುನಿಕತೆ ಯಾಗುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ಯಾಕೆಂದರೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಜ್ಞಾನದ ಮಟ್ಟ ಹಿಂದಿನ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿರುತ್ತದೆ ಎನ್ನುವುದು ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಒಪ್ಪಲೇ ಬೇಕಾದ ವಿಷಯ. ಅಂದರೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಕಲಿಕಾ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಯ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿತ ಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಲ್ಲದೇ ಇರುವುದು ಒಂದು ಕಾರಣವಾದರೆ, ನಾವು ನೀಡುವ ಕಲಿಕಾ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಆಕರ್ಷಕವಾಗಿಯೂ ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲದಿರುವುದು ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ಕಾರಣವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಕಲಿಕಾ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಯ ಮಟ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ನಾವು ಕೊಡುವ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳು ಆಕರ್ಷಕವಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಖಂಡಿತವಾಗಿಯೂ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಎಲ್ಲ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಯ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯವನ್ನು ಒಂದೇ ರೀತಿಯಾಗಿ ನೋಡುವುದೂ ತಪ್ಪಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಅವರವರ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ತಕ್ಕಂತೆ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ನಾವು ಕೊಡಬೇಕಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಮಕ್ಕಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳು ಕುಸಿಯುತ್ತಿವೆ ಎನ್ನುವ ವಿಚಾರವನ್ನು ಒಪ್ಪಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ. ಮೌಲ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಡದೇ ಇದ್ದ ಪಕ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳು ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳೆಯುತ್ತವೆ.? . ನಾನು ಪಾಠದ ಸಂದರ್ಬದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೌಲ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಡುತ್ತೇನೆ ಆದರೂ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಸರಿಯಾಗಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ನಾವು ಪ್ರತಿ ಬಾರಿಯೂ ಹೇಳಬಹುದು. ಆದರೆ ಎಷ್ಟು ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು ಮೌಲ್ಯವನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ನಾವು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾಗ ಇದ್ದಂತಹ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರ ನಡತೆ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಇಂದಿನ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರಿಗೆ ಹೋಲಿಸಿ ನೋಡಿ. ಆ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರ ಸೇವಾ ಮನೋಭಾವ ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಇದೆಯೇ? ಮೌಲ್ಯ ಎಂಬುವುದು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ನೋಡಿಕಲಿಯುತ್ತಾನೆ. ನಾವು ತರಗತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೌಲ್ಯದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಭಾಷಣವನ್ನೇ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇವೆ. ಅದೇ ವಿಚಾರಗಳನ್ನು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕನ ದೈನಂದಿನ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ತುಲನೆ ಮಾಡಿ ನೋಡುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ನಿರ್ಧಾರಕ್ಕೂ ಬರುತ್ತಾನೆ. ನನ್ನ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು ಹೇಳುವುದು ಮಾತ್ರ ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿದಂತೆ ವರ್ತಿಸುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ಮತ್ತೆ ನಾನು ಯಾಕೆ ಮೌಲ್ಯಯುತ ಜೀವನ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು? ಮುಖ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕ ಮೊದಲಾಗಿ ಮೌಲ್ಯಯುತ ಮಾದರೀ ಜೀವನ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಅದುವೇ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗೆ ಪ್ರೇರಣೆಯಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲೊಬ್ಬರು ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರಿದ್ದಾರೆ . ಬಹುಶಃ ನಮ್ಮ ಶಾಲಾ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಅವರನ್ನು ದೇವರ ಹಾಗೆ ಗೌರವಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ ( ಕೆಲವು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೂ ಇದೆ.) . ಕಾರಣ ಇಷ್ಟೆ . ಅವರೆಂದೂ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗೆ ಹೊಡೆದವರಲ್ಲ. ಅವರ ನಡತೆಗೂ ಮಾತಿಗೂ ವ್ಯತ್ಯಾಸ ಹುಡುಕಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೂ ಅವರೆಂದರೆ ಪ್ರಾಣ. ಅವರು ಶಾಲೆಗೆ ಬಂದರೆಂದರೆ ಸಾಕು ಅನೇಕ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಅವರ ಹಿಂದೆಯೇ ಸುತ್ತುತ್ತಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಹಾಗಂತ ಅವರ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಯೂ ಫೈಲ್ ಆದದ್ದಿಲ್ಲ. ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಫೈಲ್ ಆಗಿದ್ದರೂ ಅವರ ಪಾಠದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಸಾಗಿರುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಇದು ಹೇಗೆಂದು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಯಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಕೇಳಿದರೆ ಅವರೆಂದೂ ತರಗತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬೈದವರಲ್ಲ. ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಶಬ್ದದಿಂದ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದವರು ಅಲ್ಲ. ನಾನು ಹೇಳುವುದು ಇಷ್ಟೇ ನಾವು ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸಿಕೊಂಡಾಗ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಅನುಕರಣೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.
