The only other serious problem I've seen on my soekris boxes was
described at
<http://old.nabble.com/carp-%2B-client-avahi-daemon-%3D-OpenBSD-kernel-hang-td29869609.html>
where having another machine running avahi-daemon on the network will
cause a hard lockup resulting in a watchdog reboot.

However it's not clear to me if it's a problem with the hardware or
the software. It's absolutely reproducable (although oddly enough,
only when I have Linux boxes on the network running avahi-daemon; the
OS-X Bonjour client doesn't trigger the problem.

I mention it only out of completeness; my gut tells me that it's on
the OpenBSD side and not the Soekris side, although it could be
related to the NICs in use.
