A search at digikey.com for ARM gave these cores for ST and Atmel 
implementations in the 
96MHz+ range: STR9 ARM9,  AT91 16/32 Bit ARM® Thumb®,  LH7A40x ARM922TDMI. I'd 
like to narrow the field on some non BGA chips, so any example of a good chip 
would be 
appreciated.

Or do you know anything of embedded PowerPCs?
