I'd like to narrow the field on some non BGA chips, so any example of a good chip would be appreciated. I've only used the Philips LPC2000 ARM chips - 60 MIPS or so. They are probably not fast enough for you. Or do you know anything of embedded PowerPCs? I've not used them, but they might be worth considering.
