usually the attack time is constant while decay varies. It can be as fast as a 
couple hundred ms or as log 6 to 8 seconds. then there is a third function in 
some receivers called the hang time where the agc does not decay until after 
the hang time.

Hello Wolfgang,

could you please be more specific about the changes that you would
like to see on the AGC ? I suppose you want it faster in AM and slower
in SSB. Is this true ? Thanks.
