I dont think their idea is to make it run in real time. it is probably more

That's one thing artists and programmers have in common: their tendency to occasionally bite off more than they can chew (like replacing a REYES-based 
rendercore with a bidirectional path tracer and maintaining backwards
compatibility ;-).

Uhhhhh...I guess not. But for me...as I've been getting more into games 
and Unity...it opens up a whole new range of possibilities.   I'm now
thinking of building "smart objects" in Houdini maybe to bring into Unity. Something I can't do with Soft. Just trying to pick the right path of 
what I dedicate my time to next.
