Apparently Blender has some great modelling tools. Just to preface...this is not the off the shelf Blender. You need to dig around and install a bunch of scripts and plugins to get it there. A guy at my office has been using it for some time and swears by it. He has the whole thing, plugins and scripts wrapped together in a zip that he's willing to hand off...he's giving me a demo on Monday. The really nice thing about it is that you can run the software from the archive/zip. no install needed. So you can work literally anywhere on any computer as long as you have access to import the folder from usb or the cloud. Don't think you'd even need admin rights to run it.
I'd be happy to give a review after my demo and supply people with the zip if they want it. The stuff is free and this artist is trying to promote it.
