"Do you have any questions, or concerns?"

Golan Dulath stepped forward to speak for the group.? "It would seem that you and your
government has anticipated our needs quite well.? I would like to know if we have
access to the communications networks so we will be able to communicate with our
governments?"

Valtris was pleased to hear the question.? She, too, had concerns that they would be
considered as prisoners rather than? governmental representatives.

"Of course, Ambassador.? All public communications networks are accessible through the
terminal in your rooms.? We are linked to the Pacifican grids which are available to
the general public.? I apologize, but as this facility is relatively new, we have not
yet established secure links suitable for ambassadoral delegations.? If you require an
encoded channel, there are two options.? The Venasian annex has secure channels
available for your use, and the local communications port outside the compound also
has encoded channels for your use."

Golan nodded. He had to admit that the situation left privacy a bit to be desired,
but it would be adequate. It is not like they were on some secret mission. He
glanced to the other ambassadors to see if they had similar reactions.

Commander NaTrall, the only one in any kind of formal military uniform, was puzzled by
the lack of secure communications. It did not seem to fit with her understanding of
the Venasians, but then again it was truly a strange time. Outwardly, she made
nothing of it, except to snort her minor displeasure. Being a tellerite, that was
expected.
