>Commander NaTrall, the only one in any kind of formal military uniform, was
>puzzled by the lack of secure communications. It did not seem to fit with
>her understanding of the Venasians, but then again it was truly a strange
>time. Outwardly, she made nothing of it, except to snort her minor
>displeasure. Being a tellerite, that was expected.

V'nquera glanced over at NaTrall, overhearing her expression of displeasure.
"Deepest apologies, Ambassador," he said with a slight bow, "This facility
is quite new, and we were given minimal notification of your intended
arrival. Had we been notified further in advance, we would have been able to
finish installing the communications grid. As it stands, we can only provide
that which I have already gone over, and our sincere regrets."

Ambassador Ra'aj stepped forward.  "We can understand the difficulties you are currently facing," she replied.  "It cannot be easy to keep communications running smoothly when the government has only recently, abruptly changed hands."  It was clear from the tone of her voice that no negative intonation was meant.  She was just clearly stating the facts.

"I am sure that with some time, the situation will rectivy itself."
